Welcome to San Pablo Smog – Oakland’s premier Test Only Smog
Station. We can smog any vehicle currently on the road, including
diesels and RVs, and for your convenience, we are open six days –
Monday through Saturday.

The big difference between a test only smog check station, and test and
repair smog station is that the test only station does not do repairs –
we are totally objective when we smog your car – there is no financial
gain for us if your car fails the test – we do not make money on repairs.

So at our Oakland Smog Test Only facility we only do one thing – smog
check vehicles. We are thorough, fast, and if your car passes the test –
we electronically transmit that data to the DMV. If it fails the test, we
will also give you a printout to take to the repair shop so they can
diagnose and repair your vehicle – then bring it to us for a re-test.

When your vehicle requires a smog check – – give us a call or simply come and get your vehicle tested.
If you received a notice from the DMV that your vehicle has to be taken
to a STAR smog check station, you can take it to any STAR station,
though at San Pablo Smog we provide best customer service and are
open 6 days a week for your convenience – and we are conveniently
located at the border of Oakland, Emeryville and Berkeley – anybody
who lives in these cities can easily get to our smog test facility.
